Later this month, De La Soul are set to release an EP titled Premiem Soul On The Rocks which will feature production from DJ Premier and Pete Rock. Today they announced they will be releasing a second mixtape later this year, produced by J Dilla (!), titled Smell The D.A.I.S.Y. This is the first track off the Smell The D.A.I.S.Y. mixtape. The track is aptly titled "Dilla Plugged In." The track features a lyrical ode to the classic De La track "Plug Tunin'" off their debut album 3 Feet High and Rising. De La haven't released a proper album in ten years, so with two mixtapes and an album coming this summer, it should be a good year for De La Soul fans.
